Time to reel in some good old fashioned fun!! Ok I know how corny can one reviewer be?? Well AS CORNY AS I WANNA BE!! heehee Fisherman's Bait is the latest from Konami's sports line and it is an arcade port. The game has a nice engine and is easy to pick and play straight from the get go.

The graphics are standard for a fishing game, nothing to write home about but they do set the mood. There are only three lakes to choose from which is kind of limited. The control takes some getting used to though, you have to reel in by pressing a button rapidly and this can be a pain when you get a bite. The button smashing begins!! If you succesfully reel the fish in you can put it on your colection and eventually weigh them in.

This game has many features that are appealing, but its lack of lakes is disappointing. There just isn't much to this game. The two-player mode is nice and feeling your controller vibrate when fighting a fish is a nice novelty, but not worth the price of admission. My suggestion is that you rent this one first and if you are die-hard into fishing it's definitely a solid purchase.
