The glorious sounds of screaming grunts as they choke on a guided missle.  These are the things that make gaming great.  Nothing expresses love better than fragging your buddies in a good game of Quake 2.  It is finally out and it is now time to see if it was worth the wait.

Well in one word yes...I mean this game is incredible.  The graphics are super smooth and the gameplay is top notch.  The controls are laid out Turok style.   Where the yellow buttons are used for moving and the analog stick is used for aiming.  I personally like this control scheme, but there is also an option to use the Goldeneye style so amateurs will be able to play too!

Where this game really shines is the multi-player.  The four player split screen runs super smooth and the different games that you can paly are just dynamite!  I feel that this game even surpasses Goldeneye for best N64 multi-player game!  I love the level designs for the multi-player games, and the variety of styles to play is extremely welcome.

Sound is also tremendous in this game.  The music is not your typical Quake style though, it is more dark and sets a good mood when hunting down your buddy in a dark corridor.
